During the 2008-2009 Financial crises before JohnsTradingShack even existed John had gotten a temporary job position in the rubble removal industry. Particularly removing rubble from fire and flood damaged buildings. On occasion the company would remove contents from bank owned foreclosures or abandonments. Often while clearing building of contents employees as well as the company owner would take stuff and use it themselves instead of carelessly throwing good usable things in the dumpster. It was sad seeing things go to waste, but eventually john ended up with a few dishwashers, washing machines, mainly home appliance that he did not need, but saved them from being destroyed in a trash compactor. John decided to list a few of them on Craigslist and in the middle of the night John received a phone call (Can I come pick up now? my dryer just broke down and every stitch of clothing I have is wet) John at first thought is was weird selling home appliance in the middle of the night but was happy to help someone. Eventually this became an ongoing phenomenon, John was selling home appliances in the middle of the night in blizzards, Rain, snow, sleet, hail, John was the emergency appliance replacement man. As the company started to slow down and go back to its normal operations John was no longer needed and his temporary position came to an end as all things eventually do. This time around instead of looking for the next temporary job John decided to try his hand at selling products to people. His mother gave him a small zip block bag of junk jewelry and he decided to sell this Timex Expedition wrist watch, and wanted to give eBay a try. Without even knowing much about eBay John jumped right in. He sold the watch for $10.00 without a battery and the customer was completely happy, and John was hooked. Eventually John started buying broken watches and learned how to repair them, and got way better at it. One point of time John had 200 pounds of wrist watches. John and his wife Wen then started JohnsTradingShack ,and even started writing about wrist watches, here are some old articles JohnsTradingShack Watch Talk ,But as time passed John eventually expanded into other products. The company Jumped from Wrist watches to luxury items, and from luxury items to sporting goods. Before you know it JohnsTradingShack was selling just about anything. During the period between 2013-2018 John expanded his company and honed his skills in sourcing ,repairing, shipping , and marketing a vast array of products to customers all over the world. By the time December 26 rolled around JohnsTrading LLC was formed and we became an official company. Then 2020 hit and in March Covid-19 made its way to the united states. From all the years prior of expanding and adding to our cache of products we were able to supply people with products for the remainder of 2020 which was not a easy feat for many small businesses and we are entirely grateful our customers kept us in the game. In October of 2020 we decided to expand, we needed more room a bigger workshop and storage space for our business. So we moved it northeast to a nice town packed with rich industrial and agricultural history called Conowingo Maryland Where we could gather a different taste of products to supply to our customers.
